Rashed could never stay mad at Rana. He loved her too much.

Rana heard her baby sister crying.

-

Rana knocked the door and no one answered, all she could hear was her sister crying.

Rana: haw wain mama?

She opened the door and she didn't believe what she saw. Her mother was laying motionless on the floor next to the bed and her sister was in her crib crying.

Rana: MAMAA!!!!!!

Rana ran towards her mum and fell on the floor right next to her. She picked her head up and put it on her lap.

Rana: mama.. mama 7abeebty goomay.. yala mama

Rana's tears were falling onto her mother's cheeks . She couldn't believe her mother was lying like that on the floor she thought it was some kind of joke, a prank there mother was trying to pull on them.

Rana: haha mama mu men 9ijich 9a7? intay ga3da tg9een 3alay? yala bes khara3teeny 3an il dala3 goumay

Rana kept lying to herself and telling herself that her mother was okay.

Rawan heard the scream and ran upstairs to follow the voice only to find the same scene that Rana found.

-

The next thing the girls knew they were outside the operating room in AlHadi hospital with their aunt waiting for the doctors to come out and tell them what was wrong with their mother.

The girls sat there with hot tears escaping their almond shaped eyes and burning their way down their faces and necks. They were both holding hands as if afraid to loose each other, as if they were the only thing they had left.

The girls were still in shock. They couldn't get past the image of their strong mother lying like that on the floor. That wasn't the woman they knew and loved for so long. She looked pale and lifeless. Unlike the strong woman they were used to seeing, the woman that managed to raise two beautiful girls and give birth to a lovely baby. It wasn't the woman that ran and took responsibility of a huge house by herself without the help of her husband that was always away.

Suddenly the girls' fear and sadness turned into hate. Hate and anger towards their father that left their mother do all that by herself which resulted in her being in the operating room between life and death.

-

Rawan suddenly spotted a familiar figure between her tears. She rubbed her eyes to try to see clearer. He was tall, very tall, he had short pitch black hair that was messy as if he just got out of bed w malah khulg. He had piercing light brown eyes that were surrounded with beautiful long lashes. He was wearing white hollister sweatpants and a yellow t-shirt. Yes, it was Aziz.

Rawan squeezed Rana's hand and Rana followed Rawan's eyes to see Aziz standing at the end of the hall way.

Rawan and Aziz's eyes met. At that moment she felt safe. She felt like she wanted to run and fall into his arms and cry herself to death.

Rawan felt her blackberry vibrate against her leg.

[Incoming Call]
